This week, Google used a fun interactive Doodle to commemorate the 50th anniversary of LOGO, the first programming language for children. Created in the USA in 1967 by Wally Feurzeig, Seymour Papert and Cynthia Solomon, LOGO uses natural language and simple commands to teach children the basics of programming. It is best known for the “turtle”, a cursor (physical or virtual) controlled as commands such as “FRONT 50: RIGHT 90 ″ that can be used to create vector graphics.
